“ Updated Review 2023: the Bakery Waterford is an example of a place that has gotten better with time in my opinion. They really do an excellent job. Over the 6 years since my first review we have had the bakery make a graduation cake, a baby shower cake, multiple birthday cakes, holiday pies and cheesecakes. We have not been disappointed in both the quality of the taste and the design. My sons graduation cake in particular was beautiful. Do yourself a favorite this next holiday season, order a pumpkin cheesecake (we got the gluten free), it is one of the best desserts I've ever had, a huge hit with our guests. They also do adorable sugar cookie designs and can make so many interesting themes. I am still not a fan of the gluten free cake, all other gluten free items are outstanding but their cake has always been very dry, so we just order other things. Definitely give them a try! ”

The cookies are better than homemade. The cheesecake is heavenly. My favorite cake is the Grump Cake, think loads of buttercream and chocolate ganache. The cherry cake with buttercream is my 2nd favorite. If you haven't tried this bakery yet what are you waiting for!? ”

“ Beyond Excellent! I just discovered this local gem by accident today at a birthday party for an amazing nurse Paula. The cake was provided by the nurse manager of Summit Surgery in Troy. While enjoying the cake Melanie told us about this wonderful bakery. Not only, are the homemade items fantastic, she told us how the bakery made her mom a black forrest birthday cake, which is hard to find, and they made it fresh to order the same day!! They even stayed open until Mel could pick it up after work! This is such a wonderful bakery, it's like what your grandma or favorite aunt always made. The one dessert that made the event! ”

“ Was in search of a new bakery and so happy that this bakery was open during the holidays (specifically Thanksgiving) during COVID. Staff was very friendly when I messaged on Facebook looking for a last minute vanilla flavor cake since I missed the deadline for pre-ordering. Staff quickly responded to my request and let me know they could hold the cake. I arrived right when they opened and they already had a line. I was so glad to see so many others supporting a small business during this time. I was glad to get in because I was able to purchase some additional goodies besides the cake -- sugar cookies, macarons, cupcakes and a slice of the pumpkin roll. The cake and frosting were very light and not sugary. Not to mention it was such a cute cake! The sugar cookies were delicious. They were $2 each and were decorated beautifully! All of the other small treats were also delicious. I spent about $40 for everything which was a decent price since I have been to bakeries in my area and have easily spent close to $75-100 for similar items. The staff was very friendly in person and thanked me for coming in (I live about 40 minutes away and they remembered me from placing the cake order). Was so glad to find this little bakery and will be back again soon! ”
